Consoles for Classic Buicks

Do you have a vintage or late model Buick? Do you struggle with the fact that the bench seat leaves you no storage space other than an out of reach glove compartment or the stock center console is just too small? Or are just looking for a place to put your coffee, juice, water bottle or fast food fountain drink? Or maybe you just want a better arm rest?

Buick is a division of the General Motors car company. These cars made to be luxury, but not absolute top of the line. Cadillac is General Motor’s top brand. Buick is the middle ground. So, although these cars are known for their high quality standards, vintage or late model Buicks come from a different time in American culture and car production.

The solution to these problems are simple and inexpensive with these products. And for collectors out there, these upgrades are sure to come in a color to match the interior or exterior of your beloved Buick. They can also be easily removed to come back to the true vintage state of the vehicle.

Products are available for the following models:

1940s - 1950s: Roadmaster, Roadmaster Convertible, Special, Century Riviera, Roadmaster Riviera, Estate,

1960s - Electra, Invicta, LeSabre, Wildcat, Special, Riviera, Skylark,

1970s - Estate, Centurion, Apollo, Regal, SkyHawk, Park Avenue

1980s - Somerset, Reatta, T - Type, Ultra, Riviera, Park Avenue, LeSabre, Century,

1990s - Roadmaster, Park Avenue

Many of these models feature a bench front seat. This is because for much of the history of cars in America, a bench front seat was highly favored, and was standard on nearly every model produced by any company. Another General Motors owned company, Chevrolet, was the last to produce a vehicle with a standard front bench seat. This was the Impala, which underwent a complete redesign for 2013, removing the bench seat as the standard. There are also some models with a feature that was created to switch between center console and arm rest/storage compartment. These foldable sections would come down from the backrest in the center of the front seat when desired, or could be folded back to allow for the third front seat.

Available center consoles:

Your classic Buick can easily be upgraded with a center console where there is none because of the bench seat, or have a center console placed between the already snug bucket seats. This adds a comfortable armrest, storage and two cup holders with no tools needed for installation, no permanent alterations to the vehicle, and instant installation and removal. Likewise the ashtray can be reconstituted as the base for an added cup holder or holders, also with no tools needed for installation, no permanent alterations to the vehicle, and instant installation and removal.
