When a classic car or truck needs a lap and shoulder belt but there is no room or reason for a retractor, a non-retractable 3-point belt is a clean, simple answer. This Seatbelt Planet Push Button belt is sold for one seating position and works with bench or bucket seats, with your choice of standard bolt-down anchors or nickel-plated snap hooks.
Choose Your Buckle Length
The Buckle Type menu sets the buckle side of the belt for your seat:
- 20" fixed webbing length, for bench seats
- 12" sleeved buckle, for bucket seats
- 8" black sleeved buckle, for bucket seats where the buckle needs to sit lower
Seatbelt Planet lists finished lengths of 115" (95" shoulder side and 20" fixed buckle side) and 105" (93" shoulder side and 12" sleeve). Male and female sides are measured from the center of the mounting hole to the end of the buckle, and all measurements have a tolerance of plus or minus 1 inch.
Anchor Options
The standard version bolts down at each anchor. If your vehicle has eye bolts, you can choose nickel-plated snap hooks instead, but note that snap hooks are offered only with the 20" fixed buckle option. Seatbelt Planet's floor anchor points have a 0.510" hole that accepts a 7/16", 1/2" or 12mm bolt, and Hardware Kit #2 is available for bolt-down installs.

Why a Non-Retractable Belt
Non-retractable belts have fewer parts, take up less space and suit vehicles where a retractor would be hard to mount, such as some roadsters, hot rods and trucks. Because you adjust them by hand at the lap and shoulder, they fit snugly once set, and the push button buckle is familiar for any passenger.
Installation Tips
Plan the three anchor points before drilling: the floor or seat-side anchor, the buckle anchor and the upper shoulder anchor, which should sit behind and slightly above the occupant's shoulder. Use backing plates where the metal is thin, choose the correct hardware and tighten everything securely. If you are adding belts to a vehicle that never had shoulder anchors, consider having a qualified shop do the work.
