    • Driver or Passenger Seating Position
    • Hardware Included With Fiat Seat Belt
The Seatbelt Planet 1972-1978 Fiat Spider 124, Driver or Passenger Seat Belt, sold by Vintage Car Radio, is a flexible single-position upgrade that lets owners strengthen exactly the seat that needs attention in these charming Italian roadsters.

The Fiat Spider 124 remains one of the most enjoyable classic convertibles of the 1970s. Its Pininfarina styling, responsive handling, and lively engines created an open-air driving experience that still feels special today. Whether cruising coastal roads or tackling twisty mountain passes with the top down, the Spider delivers a direct, engaging connection to the road.

The front seats place the driver low and close to the action in a compact, intimate cockpit. Many owners find that one belt sees far more use than the other — typically the driver’s side — or that a restoration project requires matching only one side at a time. Original belts have almost universally deteriorated after decades of sun exposure, becoming faded, stiffened, or completely unusable. Replacing the entire pair is not always necessary or practical.

This Seatbelt Planet product is a single 3-point lap-and-shoulder belt engineered specifically for the 1972-1978 Fiat Spider 124’s front seating positions. It allows owners to replace just the driver’s belt, just the passenger belt, or to match an existing belt during a phased restoration.

The webbing is high-strength and fade-resistant, available in multiple colors and textures that complement original or restored interiors. The buckle is a solid all-metal design with chrome plating, providing a crisp, positive click and smooth release that feels appropriate for a classic Italian sports car.

The hardware is selected for clean, discreet integration. Chrome-plated fittings and anchors sit naturally against the seat frames and floor, so the belt enhances the Spider’s open, elegant cockpit rather than disrupt it. The design maintains the car’s lightweight feel and excellent driving position while adding modern protection where it is needed most.

Installation is sympathetic to the Spider’s construction. The kit includes all necessary mounting hardware and is designed to work with existing floor points in most cases. Minimal modification is typically required. The adjustable strap ensures a secure, comfortable fit for different body sizes without restricting movement or spoiling the connected seating position that makes the Spider so enjoyable.

Seatbelt Planet builds these belts to exceed FMVSS 209 and 302 standards, delivering excellent tensile strength, durability, and flame resistance. For Spider owners who still enjoy regular top-down drives, this targeted upgrade provides meaningful confidence without requiring a full pair replacement.

Vintage Car Radio stocks this Seatbelt Planet product with reliable shipping and support, making the single-seat refresh straightforward to complete.

This Seatbelt Planet 1972-1978 Fiat Spider 124 Driver or Passenger Seat Belt is a smart, flexible solution that respects the car’s open-top character. It replaces an outdated or missing original with modern three-point protection exactly where it is needed, allowing you to enjoy the Spider with greater confidence. Order from Vintage Car Radio today and bring one more piece of your classic Fiat up to a safer, more usable standard.
