1992-2001 Hummer H1, Driver & Passenger Seat Belt Kit

Seatbeltplanet.com's™ 1992-2001 Hummer H1, Driver & Passenger Seat Belt Kit. 3 Point Retractable Lap & Shoulder Seat Belt Kit with End Release Buckle

• Retractable 3 Point Lap & Shoulder Belt
• End Release Buckle
• Driver & Passenger Seating Position
• Hardware Included

The civilian Hummer H1 is unlike anything else on the road: wide, tall, military-derived, and built for terrain most SUVs cannot touch. Owners tend to be serious about upkeep, because parts and know-how for these trucks are specialized. The front seat belts are one of the easiest places to restore safety and comfort at the same time. The Seatbelt Planet 1992-2001 Hummer H1 Driver & Passenger Seat Belt Kit replaces both front belts in one order, and Vintage Car Radio ships it straight to you.

Two Belts, One Kit

This kit covers both front seats. The listing describes it as a 3-point retractable lap and shoulder seat belt kit with end release buckles for the driver and passenger seating positions, with hardware included. Buying the pair means both sides arrive with matching webbing and fresh retractors, so neither seat feels better than the other.

Life Inside an H1

Anyone who has spent a day in an H1 knows the cabin is a working environment. The wide center tunnel separates the occupants, the doors are heavy, and on the trail the truck rocks and climbs at steep angles. A retractable 3-point belt keeps you planted in the seat while still letting you lean to check a tire placement or reach the controls. When you unbuckle, the retractor pulls the webbing back out of the door opening, where it would otherwise get slammed or dragged in the mud.

Original H1 belts on trucks this age often show:

• Retractors that lock up or fail to rewind
• Webbing stiffened by dust and sun
• Buckles packed with grit from off-road use

Color Choices

You can choose from 52 webbing colors on the product page, with specialty options like M-Stripe, Red-Edge, Laguna Blue and Porcelain priced slightly higher, as the picker shows. Black fits the utilitarian H1 look. A colored edge, such as Orange-Edge or Yellow-Edge, can be a nice touch on a custom build or a truck painted in a bright civilian color.

Getting It Installed

Because the H1 body is aluminum and the trucks often see harsh use, look over each anchor location before installing. Check for damaged threads or corrosion where steel hardware meets the body. Route each belt flat through its guide and tighten the hardware securely. If you take the truck to a specialist for service, this is an easy job to add to the list.

Help Before You Buy

If you have questions about your H1's configuration or which color will suit your interior, contact our team at Vintage Car Radio. We would rather help you get it right the first time. When you are ready, add the kit to your cart and give both front seats a proper refresh.
