Product Description
It Makes Work Go Better
A classic 1955-59 GMC truck is enough to make any workday better. These trucks are real workhorses.
To make the day go even better, pair your truck with the Custom Autosound USA-630. It'll have you whistling while you work.
A Little Music Goes a Long Way
Inside the USA-630, 300 watts of power are ready to deliver the best sound possible. Once that sweet sound hits your ears, work goes easier and more cheerfully.
A power antenna lead helps bring in your 25 presets (15 FM, 10 AM) and other stations on the RDS electronic tuner, and the 7-color display always shows the song and artist name.
Tired of whistling along to the radio? Play CDs through a changer, or your iPod, MP3 and WMA music.
Still not convinced? Add a 4-way fader, 4-channel RCA pre-outs, a 2-channel AUX input, a full set of tone controls and a built-in digital EQ.
Your Radio, Your Truck, Your Whistle
The USA-630 gives you the sound you want in your classic 1955-59 GMC truck, so you can whistle while you work all day.
The USA-630 is the latest step in Custom Autosound's quest for the perfect classic car radio. Its large OEM-style push buttons look right at home in a classic dash, but behind them are modern features like an iPod dock. You can browse your iPod by artist, song, album or playlist from the radio's buttons, so the iPod can stay hidden in the glove box or console. A USB input on the back plays MP3/WMA files from a flash drive, and the alphanumeric display shows song, artist and album titles from USB, iPod and RDS radio stations.
With the optional BluKit, you can stream music from a Bluetooth phone or player, skip tracks with the radio's track-up button, and take hands-free calls while the music mutes automatically. At 300 watts peak, it has all the power most people need. If you want more, four pre-out jacks on the back connect optional amplifiers, and an auxiliary input accepts satellite radio or any portable player.

Suggested order for a 1955-1959 GMC Truck
- Disconnect the vehicle battery before any wiring.
- Connect ground first, then constant (yellow) and ignition (red).
- Connect the antenna plug and the blue power-antenna lead if your car has a power antenna.
- Wire all four speakers, matching polarity.
- If using an amplifier, run RCA cables from the front/rear (and sub on USA-740/USA-850) pre-outs.
- Reconnect the battery and test radio, speakers, and charging system voltage.
Tech tips for 1955-1959 GMC Truck
- This radio is sold for the factory GMC Truck opening used in 1955-1959 models—do not cut a modern DIN rectangle if you want a stock look.
- A poor ground is the most common cause of whine or weak audio; scrape paint at the ground point and use a star washer.
- If AM reception is weak, check the antenna mast, cable continuity, and that the antenna plug is fully seated.
- Vintage Car Radio does not install radios. If you are not comfortable with 12V wiring, use a qualified installer.
