Custom Autosound USA-630 In Dash AM/FM 93 for Pinto
IT MAY NOT BE THE BEST-KNOWN CAR, but it's worthy of a great radio.
When it's time to replace the radio in your Pinto, check out the Custom Autosound USA-630 from Vintage Car Radio. It's made to fit your Pinto. Call us at 574-226-6676 to confirm fit for your year.
Why This Radio?
The USA-630 has what it takes to turn your little Pinto into a big sound machine, starting with 300 watts peak power to fill every corner of your car.
A power antenna lead feeds radio signals to the RDS electronic tuner, which holds 25 presets (15 FM, 10 AM).
But that's not all. You get more music choices with control of an optional CD changer, plus iPod, MP3 and WMA sources. Song and artist names appear in your choice of 7 colors on the LCD screen.
If that isn't enough, consider the controls. The USA-630 has volume, balance, treble and bass, plus a digital EQ to perfect your sound.
To top it off, there's a 4-way fader, 2-channel RCA input jacks and 4-channel RCA pre-outs, plus a digital clock to keep you on time.
Your Pinto Deserves the Best.
The best is the USA-630. Contact Vintage Car Radio today to learn more, and hear the difference between this car radio and the rest. There's only one Custom Autosound USA-630.
USA-630 In Dash AM/FM 93 for Pinto: Your Questions Answered
Will it fit my Pinto without cutting the dash?
This listing is the version made for the Pinto, designed to go into the original dash opening. Custom Autosound says its radios fit without altering or cutting the original dash.
Why does the order ask about factory air?
The Factory Air option tells us which dash layout your Pinto has, so pick Yes if it has factory A/C.

You can add a front dual voice coil speaker, a rear 6x9 speaker pair (Custom Autosound 6x9 Speaker Pair and Upgraded Pioneer Speaker Pair), kick panels (W/Speakers, W/O Speakers, and Pioneer Upgrade), and an antenna (Hideaway Antenna and Power Antenna) right from the options above.
What do I get with the USA-630 in my Pinto?

USB and iPod/dock leads share a cable near the antenna jack on many units. RCA jacks on top are typically labeled AUX IN, REAR, and FRONT (line out). Bluetooth requires the optional BluKit unless your package already includes it.
Suggested order for a classic Pinto
- Disconnect the vehicle battery before any wiring.
- Connect ground first, then constant (yellow) and ignition (red).
- Connect the antenna plug and the blue power-antenna lead if your car has a power antenna.
- Wire all four speakers, matching polarity.
- If using an amplifier, run RCA cables from the front/rear (and sub on USA-740/USA-850) pre-outs.
- Reconnect the battery and test radio, speakers, and charging system voltage.
Tech tips for classic Pinto
- This radio is sold for the factory Pinto opening used in classic models—do not cut a modern DIN rectangle if you want a stock look.
- A poor ground is the most common cause of whine or weak audio; scrape paint at the ground point and use a star washer.
- If AM reception is weak, check the antenna mast, cable continuity, and that the antenna plug is fully seated.
- Vintage Car Radio does not install radios. If you are not comfortable with 12V wiring, use a qualified installer.
