Why This Type of Extender
Many extenders on the market have a buckle on one end and a tongue on the other, and simply click into the existing buckle. Seatbelt Planet points out that this design can be dangerous, because an aftermarket tongue may not stay latched in a factory buckle under load. Fitment
The extender fits virtually all cars, trucks and vans with 3-point retractable seat belts. It is made for 3-point retractable belts only. Important: it will not work on lap and shoulder belts with dual retractors. If you are not sure what type of belt your vehicle has, look for a single retractor that feeds both the lap and shoulder portions. If your belt has two separate retractors, this extender is not the right part.
Choosing a Length
The Size menu offers 6", 9" and 12" lengths. Choose the shortest length that solves the problem, since too much extra length can let the belt sit too loosely. Measure how much more webbing you need with the seat in its usual position and with the clothing you normally wear.
Choose a Color
The Webbing Color menu has 30 options, so the extender can match the rest of your belt. Choices include black, charcoal, grey, silver, tan, camel tan, desert tan, brown, dark brown, maroon, blue, cobalt, electric blue, dark green and many more.

Installation Tips
Follow the included instructions. In general, the extender bolts between the vehicle anchor and the belt's end fitting using the supplied hardware. Keep the webbing flat and untwisted and tighten the hardware securely. After installation, buckle up and check that the lap portion lies low across the hips and the shoulder belt crosses the chest and collarbone. If you are unsure, have a qualified shop install it.
