Product Description
The 1968-69 Pontiac Tempest was the entry point to Pontiac's restyled A-body line. This KHE-300-USB with Bluetooth by Ken Harrison is the 1968-69 Tempest version, made to keep a classic look in the dash while adding modern features.
Fit and Ordering
This version is made for the 1968-69 Tempest dash. Contact us with your model before ordering to confirm fit.
Why This Model
The KHE-300 pairs old-school controls with new-school sources. Press a pushbutton for a favorite station, stream from your phone over Bluetooth, or load music onto a USB stick or mini SD card.
The Right Fit Matters
Vehicle-specific radios are designed around the dash they go into, so the controls line up and the face sits where the original did. That makes installation simpler and the finished result looks like it came from the factory.

Choosing Add-Ons
If you are not sure which speakers or antenna to choose, tell us about your vehicle and how you use it. A car that is mostly cruised around town needs a different setup than one driven long distances, and we are happy to help you match the parts.
Electrical and Installation
The KHE-300 requires a 12-volt negative ground electrical system. A 6-volt or positive ground vehicle will need a converter, so check your system before ordering.
Most installs go smoothly when the wiring is in good shape. Inspect it first, add a fuse to the power lead and test the radio on the bench before mounting it. An auto radio specialist can install it for you if needed. Vintage Car Radio sells the radio and accessories but does not offer installation.
Room to Grow
The RCA pre-outs let you add an amplifier and subwoofer later without replacing the radio. Start with the radio and fresh speakers, then add power if you want more.
At Night
The blue illuminated LCD shows the clock or frequency and is easy to read after dark without being distracting.

Ken Harrison manuals recommend installation by an auto radio specialist if you are not comfortable with 12 V work.
- Confirm the vehicle is 12 V negative ground before connecting (use a converter for 6 V or positive-ground cars).
- Disconnect a battery terminal before wiring.
- Use a fused power source and a clean chassis ground.
- Bench-test the radio before final mounting when practical.
- Connect the antenna lead and the auto-antenna power wire only if your antenna is compatible.
- Match speaker polarity; do not short speaker leads to ground.
