Aurora Design BTL Smart-3.2 Bluetooth/AAC Adapter: Compact Bluetooth for FMR-3.2 Radios
The BTL Smart-3.2 brings the advanced Bluetooth features of Aurora Design's BTU Smart-3.2 to FMR-3.2 conversion radios in a smaller, lower-cost package. It is the current replacement for the BT-3.2 and is aimed at owners who want wireless streaming and hands-free calling through their original radio but don't need a USB port.
Small Enough for Any Radio
At just 1.27" W x 0.75" D x 0.37" H, the BTL Smart-3.2 is the smallest of Aurora Design's Bluetooth modules. It draws about 20mA in use and roughly 0.5mA at idle, runs from 4.5 to 18.0V DC and comes with an internal microphone and mounting hardware.

Aurora Design notes that the Bluetooth 3.0 and 4.0 standards used in older products are now more than nine years old. The 5.0 module in the BTL Smart-3.2 is designed for compatibility with older, current and future phones.
Phone App Control
With the FMR Connect™ mobile app for iOS™ and Android™, you can name your radio, adjust the FMR-3.2 equalizer in real time, set balance and fader and more. On DAB/DAB+ equipped radios, the app can scan and send a station list to the radio.
Driving With the BTL Smart-3.2
When a call comes in, the radio softly mutes and the call plays through your speakers. The FMR-3.2's LED changes color to show you are in Bluetooth mode. It doesn't use up the radio's auxiliary input, and it won't switch back to the radio during a quiet moment in a call or song, because the FMR-3.2 and BTL Smart-3.2 communicate constantly. Pairing, play/pause, next/previous, call accept/reject and mute all run through the radio's existing controls, and Voice Command works with compatible phones.
Calls and Voice Assist
Call waiting and conference calls are supported. Turning the radio off during a call hands it to your phone, and turning the radio back on brings it back. Enhanced Voice Assist speaks in English, announcing things like "ready to pair," so there are no LED flash codes to memorize. Playback resumes where you left off when the radio is switched on. The microphone can be mounted internally for convenience or externally for the best voice quality.
