Product Description
The 1966 Chevelle brought new styling to Chevy's popular A-body, and the SS 396 made it a muscle car icon. This KHE-300 by Ken Harrison is made for the 1966 Chevelle dash, combining a classic pushbutton look with Bluetooth, USB and SD card playback.
Designed for the 1966 Chevelle
This version of the KHE-300 is made to fit the factory radio opening of the 1966 Chevelle, so the dash stays uncut and the car keeps its original look. The extended-length preset buttons give it the feel of a classic pushbutton radio, and you can choose a black or chrome nose piece.
Features
- Bluetooth wireless audio streaming
- Front USB input for MP3 files
- Front mini SD card reader
- PLL synthesized AM/FM tuner
- 6 AM and 6 FM presets on extended pushbuttons
- Manual up/down tuning, seek and auto scan
- Separate bass and treble controls and a 4-way fader
- LCD display with blue illumination and clock
- Auto antenna power lead, RCA pre-outs and rear auxiliary input
- 200 watts of output (50 watts x 4)
The blue-lit LCD is easy to read day or night, and the PLL tuner holds stations far more steadily than an original radio.
Music Your Way
Pair a phone over Bluetooth to stream music, plug a USB stick into the front port, or slide a mini SD card into the built-in reader. The rear auxiliary input handles wired devices, and the RCA pre-outs let you add an amplifier or subwoofer later.
Options on This Page
- Front dual voice coil speaker
- Rear 6x9 speaker pair, Custom Autosound or upgraded Pioneer
- Kick panels with speakers, without speakers or with a Pioneer upgrade
- Hideaway antenna
Kick panels are a popular way to add front stereo speakers to a Chevelle without cutting the doors, and rear 6x9s fill out the sound.
Before You Install
The KHE-300 requires a 12-volt negative ground electrical system. Check the wiring behind the dash, use a fused power source and make a clean ground. An auto radio specialist can install the radio if you prefer. Vintage Car Radio sells the radio and accessories but does not offer installation.
A Note on Features
The KHE-300 is a digital radio with USB, SD and Bluetooth. It does not include a cassette player. If you need to confirm a specific feature before ordering, contact us.
Black or Chrome Nose Piece
The KHE-300 is available with a black or chrome nose piece, adding a smooth finishing touch to the classic look. Chrome pairs well with the bright trim of a 1966 Chevelle dash, while black gives a more subtle appearance. Either way, the radio looks at home in a mid-1960s GM interior.

- Bench-test the radio before final mounting when practical.
- Connect the antenna lead and the auto-antenna power wire only if your antenna is compatible.
