All the Modern Features
Just because you're cruising in a classic piece of Americana doesn't mean your radio has to be as old as the car. The USA-630 has a classic design, but it also has modern features, like an iPod dock, a USB port and a digital display. It shows iPod, WMA and MP3 file details in tidy, easy-to-read alphanumeric text.
Power Antenna Lead
The USA-630 doesn't skimp on reception, either. It has a power antenna lead, and its AM/FM tuner pulls in plenty of stations.
It Simply Sounds Good
To sum it up, this radio simply sounds great. With separate treble and bass and solid volume control, you'll ride in style in your classic El Camino.

USA-630 for a El Camino FAQ
Will it fit my El Camino without cutting the dash?
This version is built for the El Camino and is made to fit the factory radio opening. Custom Autosound says its radios fit without altering or cutting the original dash.
What else should I know about the USA-630?
A USB port plays MP3 and WMA files from a flash drive, and the display shows artist and song titles. Bluetooth streaming and hands-free calling come from Custom Autosound's optional BluKit, which works with the USA-630.
What can I add to my USA-630 for a El Camino order?
Add-ons offered here are a front dual voice coil speaker, a rear 6x9 speaker pair (Custom Autosound 6x9 Speaker Pair and Upgraded Pioneer Speaker Pair), kick panels (W/Speakers, W/O Speakers, and Pioneer Upgrade), and a hideaway antenna.
What can the USA-630 do?
It can directly control Custom Autosound's optional CD-1 player. It also has digital EQ, separate bass and treble, loudness, a 4-way fader and a 2-channel RCA auxiliary input with cable included.
Will it work with a 6-volt system?
The order form has Voltage (12 volt and 6 volt) and Ground (Negative and Positive) options, so set them to match your El Camino.
Is there a CD or Bluetooth upgrade?
Check the CD options on this page, which include Single Slave CD and Bluetooth Adapter.

USA-630 extras
USB and iPod/dock leads share a cable near the antenna jack on many units. RCA jacks on top are typically labeled AUX IN, REAR, and FRONT (line out). Bluetooth requires the optional BluKit unless your package already includes it.
Suggested order for a classic El Camino
- Disconnect the vehicle battery before any wiring.
- Connect ground first, then constant (yellow) and ignition (red).
- Connect the antenna plug and the blue power-antenna lead if your car has a power antenna.
- Wire all four speakers, matching polarity.
- If using an amplifier, run RCA cables from the front/rear (and sub on USA-740/USA-850) pre-outs.
- Reconnect the battery and test radio, speakers, and charging system voltage.
Tech tips for classic El Camino
- This radio is sold for the factory El Camino opening used in classic models—do not cut a modern DIN rectangle if you want a stock look.
- A poor ground is the most common cause of whine or weak audio; scrape paint at the ground point and use a star washer.
- If AM reception is weak, check the antenna mast, cable continuity, and that the antenna plug is fully seated.
- Vintage Car Radio does not install radios. If you are not comfortable with 12V wiring, use a qualified installer.
