Product Description
The USA-630 is the latest step in Custom Autosound's quest for the perfect classic car radio. Its large OEM-style push buttons look right at home in a classic dash, but behind them are modern features like an iPod dock. You can browse your iPod by artist, song, album or playlist from the radio's buttons, so the iPod can stay hidden in the glove box or console. A USB input on the back plays MP3/WMA files from a flash drive, and the alphanumeric display shows song, artist and album titles from USB, iPod and RDS radio stations. With the optional BluKit, you can stream music from a Bluetooth phone or player, skip tracks with the radio's track-up button, and take hands-free calls while the music mutes automatically. At 300 watts peak, it has all the power most people need. If you want more, four pre-out jacks on the back connect optional amplifiers, and an auxiliary input accepts satellite radio or any portable player.
The Custom Autosound USA-630 is the radio you want for unwinding after a hard day's work. Put it in your classic El Camino and let the music get you ready for the evening with family or friends.
The USA-630 has everything you and your El Camino need to unwind before you get home. Being rested and relaxed makes your evenings more enjoyable.
The Power of the USA-630
And it has power, both in the music it plays, with up to 6 CDs through an optional changer, your iPod, WMA and MP3 files and 16 presets (12 FM, 4 AM), and in its 300 watts peak that play the music you want when you need to unwind.
The RDS tuner brings in stations clearly and shows the artist, song and more in white letters and numbers on a black background.
On top of all that, a power antenna lead helps bring in stations loud and clear. With a 2-channel RCA input, treble and bass controls and left/right balance, you can let the music melt away the stress on your drive home.
There's More to the USA-630 Than Meets the Eye
That's the full power of the USA-630 in your classic 1965 El Camino. It has more features than you'll ever need, and when you want to unwind, the USA-630 gets the job done.

Suggested order for a 1965 El Camino
- Disconnect the vehicle battery before any wiring.
- Connect ground first, then constant (yellow) and ignition (red).
- Connect the antenna plug and the blue power-antenna lead if your car has a power antenna.
- Wire all four speakers, matching polarity.
- If using an amplifier, run RCA cables from the front/rear (and sub on USA-740/USA-850) pre-outs.
- Reconnect the battery and test radio, speakers, and charging system voltage.
Tech tips for 1965 El Camino
- This radio is sold for the factory El Camino opening used in 1965 models—do not cut a modern DIN rectangle if you want a stock look.
- A poor ground is the most common cause of whine or weak audio; scrape paint at the ground point and use a star washer.
- If AM reception is weak, check the antenna mast, cable continuity, and that the antenna plug is fully seated.
- Vintage Car Radio does not install radios. If you are not comfortable with 12V wiring, use a qualified installer.
