RetroSound Monterey Radio from RetroSound manufacturing offers the vintage Mercury and Ford 1960-1963, a digital receiver designed to fit the vehicle. Its original layout has a classic design for Ford. You can install this factory radio in your car to enjoy audio streaming, Bluetooth, USB feature, and many more that get described in detail below.

Infinimount System

Monterey comes with a designed Infimount System of the display face and shaft knobs. They don't get mounted on the unit. However, the harness connects them to the unit. You are allowed to space the shaft knobs on the radio at different places. Further, you can also differently mount the face on the chassis with mounting brackets.

Variable-Color LCD

This feature has 32,000 variations of color that make up the displayed illuminated colors on LCD. Customization of colors is possible via the unit. You can set the color presets to match the interior design of the vehicle. Additionally, you can also customize the brightness.

Built-in Bluetooth

An in-built feature of the HFP/A2DP/AVRCP type of Bluetooth features. You can use it when wirelessly receiving or making phone calls. Also, when using a smartphone that has Bluetooth, you can stream and play music wirelessly. You have to pair the phone and the unit to complete the Bluetooth operation. Further, the proximity of your device should be closer to the unit. Supported types of phones include Android and iPhone.

USB Port

The radio integrates the Type-A USB feature on the rear chassis (20" pigtail). You can connect your MSC device like a USB thumb drive. After connecting your device to the USB port, there will be an instant automatic and instant display of the available songs on the unit display screen. The feature on the receiver supports various music files, including FLAC, mp3 and WMA created in FAT32 and FAT formats. Only 999 songs can play on the unit, depending on the way you made them in your storage device.

Dual Auxiliary Inputs

The design involves two AUX inputs, each of 3.5mm. You will find them on the rear chassis (7" pigtails). You can use external audio portable sources like the CD and MP3 players to connect and play music on the receiver unit.

AM/FM Tuner

The unit has a fixture of the AM/FM tuner on Monterey. The features of the tuner involve two bands of 2 AM and 3 FM. You can automatically or manually select the presets, which total 30. The other element within the tuner is the Distant and Local options. If the stations' signals seem too intense or very weak, you can select between the EUR/USA tuning options.

Balance & Fader Control

This radio has a functional Balance adjustment feature. Panning and adjustment of the stereo sound compensate the driver's position concerning the locations of the speakers. You can make adjustments that range from 0-12. Further, the Fader Control fades sound from the two rear speakers. The range of adjustment varies from 0-12.

Subwoofer Control

An active RCA subwoofer outputs levels of between 0-12 when adjusted. You can set the sub output to a low pass of either 160Hz, 120Hz, and 80Hz crossover.
