    The Ford Fairlane has many masks. Some see it as one of the original economy car or your grandma's car. It was the ugly duckling of the early '60s. They were kind of dumpy; they came in four doors too, ugh. But then in 1964 something happened. Ford decided to take on all comers in drag racing. The Fairlane was considered a small car (even though it was really more mid-sized) and most smart people knew that if you put a big engine in a small car you'd go really fast.
