Stereo Conversion BT-1 Bluetooth Adapter
Aurora Design provides the only fully integrated Bluetooth solution for classic vehicles and hot rods!
While anyone can buy a cheap off-the-shelf Bluetooth solution with its hanging cords, cigarette lighter adapters (sorry all you 6 volt and 12 volt positive ground guys are just out of luck) and a microphone and buttons that are hard to access (how about those cars with the cigarette lighter in the ash tray), Aurora Design offers a fully integrated solution with unrivaled features.
The BT-1 was designed from the ground up to fully integrate with the FMR-1 AM/FM receiver offering features and performance that can’t be matched in cheap off-the-shelf products. Fully integrated into the radio, there’s nothing for you to fumble with or cords you have to connect to use.
A blue LED in the radio dial proudly indicates the Bluetooth status just like a modern car. When a call comes in, the radio softly mutes and the call comes up. The LED on the FMR-1 will change color to let you know you are in the Bluetooth mode. No wasting the radio’s Auxiliary input on a Bluetooth dongle. No fumbling for knobs or switches to select the Bluetooth input. No fumbling for little buttons on the adapter or menus on your phone. No switching back to the radio in the middle of a phone call if no one is talking for a few seconds, or when playing streaming audio if it goes quiet. The FMR-1 and the BT-1 talk to each other to keep in perfect harmony, just like a modern Bluetooth equipped car.
The microphone on the BT-1 is placeable anywhere in the car for best performance. Rather than having your microphone down around your feet, or in your ashtray, wherever your cigarette lighter happens to be, the BT-1’s microphone comes with a 9.8’ (3m) cord so it can be place in the best spot for your car. Notice on most modern cars with hands-free operation, the microphone is mounted on the headliner right behind the windshield. With the BT-1’s microphone this can also be accomplished. Don’t try this with an aftermarket solution unless your cigarette lighter happens to be in your headliner!
Controlling streaming audio playback is just as easy. Just as you would tune the radio to a different channel to hear different music, by simply tuning the radio up or down while streaming, the BT-1 will skip to the next/previous song. No little buttons or menus to fumble with, just use the same controls on your radio you normally use!
No other product can boast the easy of use, performance and features of the BT-1. Of course you can add any old off-the-shelf Bluetooth adapter to the FMR-1... but with the BT-1 available, why would you ever want to?
